Kyle Shearer is the Director of Event Operations at TED, where he leads the strategy, design, and execution of global conferences and summits that spark ideas and inspire meaningful change. With nearly two decades in the events industry, he combines operational expertise with a passion for design, accessibility, and sustainability. Kyle co-developed TED’s sustainability program and has spearheaded initiatives that reduce environmental impact, advance inclusivity, and build community partnerships—efforts that have earned TED industry recognition, including the IMEX-EIC Innovation in Sustainability Award. Based in Vancouver, he draws inspiration from architecture, design, and the natural world, and enjoys traveling, exploring food culture, and time with his Bernedoodle, Ollie.
