Julie Averill is a seasoned executive and advisor with more than two decades of experience helping organizations scale through growth, transformation, and reinvention. She most recently served as Chief Information Officer at lululemon, where she led an eight-year global transformation that supported the company’s growth from $2B to over $10B in revenue and built its award-winning India Technology Hub.

Previously, Julie was CIO at REI and held senior technology leadership roles at Nordstrom, where she helped pioneer early omnichannel capabilities.

Today, she leads Gold Thread LLC, advising CEOs and executive teams on leadership, culture, and decision-making in moments of complexity and change. Julie also serves on corporate and advisory boards and speaks on leadership, transformation, and the human side of scaling organizations. She is also the author of the forthcoming book Chief Impact Officer, which explores how leaders scale both performance and people in a rapidly changing world.
