Christine Duffy is president of Carnival Cruise Line, the “World’s Most Popular Cruise Line™,” and the flagship brand of Miami-based Carnival Corp., the world’s largest leisure travel company. She leads a fleet of 29 ships homeporting in North America, Europe and Australia, serving more than 6 million guests annually, visiting 200 destinations in more than 60 countries, and employing 50,000 team members from 120 nations. In 2023, Carnival became the first cruise line to welcome 100 million guests.

Since joining Carnival as president in 2015, Christine has led a period of significant growth and innovation. The company has added five ships since 2022, integrated P&O Cruises Australia into Carnival in 2025, and has five additional ships on order through 2033. She also oversaw the development and launch of Celebration Key in The Bahamas and is guiding expansions at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay; Isla Tropicale in Honduras; and Ensenada Bay Village in Mexico.

Christine entered the cruise industry in 2011 as president and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), where she elevated the industry’s global profile, led adoption of the Cruise Passenger Bill of Rights and unified 15 cruise organizations into one global association.

Previously, she spent 10 years at Maritz Travel Company, including six as president and CEO, working with Fortune 500 clients across multiple sectors. She began her career as a travel agent in Philadelphia and later became president of McGettigan Travel.

Christine has served on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Travel and Tourism Advisory Board and as chair of the U.S. Travel Association from 2020 to 2022. In 2024, she received CLIA’s Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award and was named to the Forbes 50 Over 50 list in the Lifestyle category.

A strong advocate for women’s leadership, Christine has supported research and initiatives that advance women’s careers. She serves on the board of Herschend Family Entertainment and on the Professional Advisory Board of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
